Our Brief

We were asked to design and build a modern home in Loudwater, Rickmansworth. The brief was to create a home that delivered luxury, sustainability, and smart home technology, a home for the future as much as for today.

The Build

1. Vision & Structure
From the start, the client wanted scale and impact. We designed a 6,000 sq. ft. structure featuring a dramatic double-height entrance hall. Reinforced floors allowed us to create vast open-plan spaces without compromising stability.

2. Modern Living
At the heart of the home is a 43ft open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. We fitted bespoke cabinetry, Dekton worktops and top-spec appliances: polished concrete floors and large windows to maximise light. Alongside this, we built a formal sitting room, games room, home office, and utility/plant room to balance family needs with lifestyle.

3. Bedrooms & Private Spaces
Upstairs, the master suite features a vaulted ceiling, en-suite bathroom, dressing area, and private balcony. Four further bedrooms with en-suites or dressing areas, so every family member has their own retreat.

4. Technology & Sustainability
We installed Control4 automation, Lutron lighting, Hikvision CCTV and complete air conditioning for effortless living. Underfloor heating, advanced insulation, and eco-conscious systems to keep the home energy-efficient and future-proof.

5. Outdoor Living
Externally, we landscaped a secluded garden with a porcelain patio for entertaining, a resin carriage driveway and a large garage. The design capitalises on the plot’s stunning countryside views and seamlessly integrates the home into its surroundings.

The Result
